Sauer Cattle Company History

The foundation of Sauer Cattle Company's program began with a purebred commercial Brangus herd in 1975 and has grown to 1200 females and is now proud to call itself the leading Angus Plus foundation herd, as well as the leading Angus Plus genetics in the nation - all raised at Sauer Cattle Company to ensure quality and type. Gordon and Ryan Sauer began using Angus plus bulls in 1997. They saw the obvious benefits in their first calf crop, observing more significant muscle definition and cleaner sheaths, reduced frame size, and a reduction in excess hide. Angus Plus bulls from RockBrook Ranch were purchased and added to their herd, changing the foundation Brangus herd to quarter-blood Brahman with significant results. As the saying goes, "They like the factory so much they bought it," and purchased the 500 head, Rockbrook Ranch registered female herd in February 2006. Ryan is proud with the progress " in taking the cattle to the next level of excellence. We are very pleased to be where we are with this outstanding herd of Angus Plus Cattle." Gordon and Ryan are proudly committed to the cattle industry by focusing on producing superior beef genetics through the highly acclaimed angus plus breed. "A major objective is to maintain and enhance the relationship with you the customer. We are a father/son team committed to providing you the best service in the business - not just today but for the long haul. Providing superior quality seedstock will continue to be our passion and purpose. We are your team member in this endeavor, thus our pledge is to provide you this powerful blend of genetics to take the quality of your cattle to the next level and put more money in your pocket."
